Mature skin: why turn to plant oils?
Natural oils for all skin types
As the years go by, mature skin tends to suffer from little ailments such as lack of radiance, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, increased cutaneous dryness... The epidermis is thinner and more sensitive to signs of fatigue. It is also more reactive. Natural and free from controversial ingredients, vegetable oils are well accepted by all skin types, even the most sensitive. What's more, they contain numerous beneficial ingredients for the skin.
An effective, skin-friendly composition
Vegetable oils are rich in triglycerides, essential fatty acids, vitamin E and antioxidants. That's why they're so effective at deeply nourishing the skin and keeping it supple. They also limit the effects of free radicals, UVA and UVB rays and pollution, and contain no harmful components.
How to use vegetable oils
To make the most of your vegetable oil, apply a few sprays to the skin of your face and body after a shower. This will facilitate penetration of the product and make it more pleasant to use. Then massage your face with your fingertips, concentrating on your lips to stimulate circulation. If you still wish to use your usual cream, apply it in the morning as usual, reserving the vegetable oil for your evening routine. Finally, if your skin is dry, you can use your oil as a serum and apply it in the evening, before your skincare product.

What's the best vegetable oil for mature skin?
Many vegetable oils are beneficial for mature skin. Whatever your choice, opt for a pure, virgin oil to enjoy all its benefits.

Borage oil
Borage oil has a high omega-6 content, helping to counter the hormonal imbalance that occurs during menopause. It also has regenerating and repairing properties.
Tamanu oil
Tamanu oil helps reduce dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. It is generally used mixed at 50% with jojoba oil.
Rose hip oil
Thanks to its high provitamin-A content, rosehip oil helps combat sun-induced wrinkles and pigmentation spots. It also improves the appearance of skin damaged by smoking.
Cranberry oil
Cranberry oil is ideal for sensitive skin, soothing it with its anti-inflammatory properties.
Sea buckthorn oil
Sea buckthorn oil is well-suited to mature skin and skin lacking in tone, as it has antioxidant, repairing and softening properties. It helps combat all the signs of premature aging: wrinkles, sagging skin, loss of radiance, lack of hydration... It also contains beta-carotene, giving it an instant healthy glow. It is also particularly beneficial for dry skin, helping to counter the damage caused by UV radiation.
Thanks to its exceptional composition (omegas 3 and 6, vitamin C and antioxidants), this vegetable oil is a real panacea for the skin. Don't hesitate to incorporate it into your facial beauty routine.
